Join long time professional nature & wildlife photographer D. Robert Franz for an individualized day of instruction in the field. His award winning photography has been seen in nearly every nature publication in the world. He’s had over ten thousand images published along with nearly 200 magazine covers. This is guaranteed to be a high energy, hands on workshop designed for aspiring nature photographers who want to dramatically improve their technical ability. Robert will divulge many of his techniques and style. He will show you how to obtain professional quality nature and wildlife images. Robert will try to increase the participants’ visionary skills, proficiency with their photo equipment, and their natural history understanding. So results can be seen immediately and the learning experience maximized, digital cameras are recommended, though not required.

One on one instruction is a powerful learning tool. Participants will be able to live a day in the life of a professional nature photographer. I am a licensed photo tour guide for Yellowstone National Park and I can guide in both Yellowstone and Grand Teton National Park. I would only be available for Grand Teton from late May though October. I would suggest arranging your dates as early as possible. Rooms could be difficult to secure with short notice. For Yellowstone it would be best to base out of Gardiner or West Yellowstone MT. For Grand Teton National Park you would base out of Jackson WY.

I will take a maximum of 3 photographers. You may also arrange for me to come to your favorite location.

2016 Rates

Private tours in Yellowstone National Park out of Gardiner, Cooke City, or West Yellowstone for a single participant requires a two day minimum. I can also do single day trips out of Cody Wyoming. Day is 6am to 6pm

$450 for a day-trip form Cody, $850 for two full days in the field.
Two participants $825/day.Three participants $1095/day.

$500 per day for departures from Gardiner, MT, West Yellowstone MT, or Cooke City MT. $925 for 2 days. Two participants $875 per day, 3 participants $1150 per day.

Bookings are by appointment only. Contact Robert or call (307) 272-6671. Rates include transportation and instruction. To bring us to your location day rates are the same plus participant is responsible for all costs associated with instructor’s transportation to and from your chosen location

TERMS AND CONDITIONS:

ADMISSIONS: Access to public buildings and national parks etc. is not included in the land price.

CANCELLATION P0LICY: Due to the high number of cancellations we’ve received in the past several years a new refund policy has been implemented.

Cancellations more than 120 days ahead of the tour are refunded minus a $50 handling charge.

Cancellations between 60-120 days ahead of the tour will be refunded if the spot can be filled.

Cancellations less than 60 days ahead of the tour are non-refundable.

SMOKERS: Smoking is not permitted at meals or in vehicles. It can be permitted at photo stops where local ordinances permit, photography and photographers are not affected.

RESPONSIBILITY: Franzfoto Instructional Tours and its agents act only as agents for the passenger in all matters relating to travel arrangements, and as such, do not assume responsibility for injury, accident, damage, loss, delay or irregularity which may occur via defect of transportation or any other cause. Franzfoto Instructional Tours reserves the right to substitute hotels, and other previously outlined arrangements as necessary, to either improve or equal the travel experience. Franzfoto Instructional Tours reserves the right to pass on to tour members any additional and unplanned expenditures incurred during a tour, via events beyond Franzfoto Instructional Tours control. The right is reserved to accept or decline any person as a member of any tour. Payment of tour fees by trip participants constitutes their acceptance of all conditions contained herein.
